This summer we are offering THREE 3-day immersive experience designed to bring awareness and resources to local nonprofits while teaching kids about vegetable gardening and cooking in a hands-on environment. Attend one or multiple! Each week will cover unique skills and support a different organization.
Sessions will run Monday-Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
Each 3-day session is $300.
Camp for a Cause is a new offering based on the success of our Cook for a Cause program. During each 3 day session, participants will prepare meals for local non-profits like the Ronald McDonald House and the Delonis center, under the care of the Cornman Farms team.
For us, a fundamental part of taking care of people is food. The way we see it, nothing brings a community together like good food, prepared with love. While learning about cooking and gardening as well, our kids camp will focus on creating meals to be delivered to local families in need.
Each camper will receive a custom Cornman Farms apron, recipes for the dishes made at camp and a starter plant to tend to at home. Sessions conclude with kids going home with the same components of the meals they’ve created so they can enjoy the fruits of their labor with their families as well as information about the non-profit partner of the week. Cornman Farms will deliver prepared meals to our non-profit partner at the end of camp.
